Frequently Asked Questions: I do not know what kind of insurance I have and if my treatment in your facility is covered. What do I do? You can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask for your out of network benefits for physical therapy, your deductible and how much they will cover. Also ask for any other requirements like pre-certification or amounts of visits. If you want us to help you with your insurance information, fax us an enlarged copy of the front and the back of your insurance card and your phone number and we will do the work for you. As soon as we have the information we will call you with the information your insurance company gave us. PLEASE CHECK THE INFORMATION YOURSELF BEACAUSE WE CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY YOUR INSURACE COMPANY. THE INFORMATION IS NEVER A GUARANTEE OF PAYMENT. This is a completely free of charge service without any obligations. Do I have to get a referral from a doctor or a script? Delaware has direct access which means you do not need to see your doctor first before going to a physical therapist. Unfortunately most insurance companies require you to see your doctor and have a script in order for them to consider and pay the bill for physical therapy services. If you are willing to pay privately for your visits you do not need to see your doctor first. If you want your insurance company to pay for the physical therapy visits, you always need a script, not a referral. All MEDICARE patients need a script and renew their script every 30 days. They are also required by MEDICARE to see their physician every 30 days to re-certify physical therapy. Why are you out of network with most insurance? We believe that you, together with quality care are the most important factors in getting you better. Together with you and your physician we will come up with a treatment plan that is best for you. Not what is the least expensive treatment or in the best interest of the insurance company. We do not want to be ruled by insurance companies and think insurance companies should have no part in the medical decision making process. We are concerned about keeping medical costs as low as possible for you and your insurance company but we refuse to compromise quality care for increased profits of insurance companies and their shareholders.
